Delta sponsorships

One brand.
A whole arena.

I designed Delta’s sports sponsorship creative and guided junior designers as we took it across different venues and partnerships.

The brief

Delta had to be recognizable on a single concourse column and across a group of stadium screens. Each partnership also needed room to show up.

My role

I designed the stadium sponsorship creative and led junior designers. This portfolio spans hands-on design, art direction, and guidance through execution.

Selected work includes

Stadium sponsorship design
Large-format venue creative
Commemorative plaque design
NWSL design + animation
LA Live motion reconstruction

Keep the brand clear.
Let the scale change.

I treated each surface as a different layout problem. The viewing distance, screen shape, and surrounding venue determined what needed to lead.

An approaching aircraft passes overhead, then gives way to the Delta and Atlanta United partnership lockup against a blue motion environment.

Start with the read

I used large type and strong contrast because the work had to compete with everything else happening in the venue.

Recompose for the surface

I rebuilt the hierarchy for square towers, long ribbons, and grouped displays.

Guide the work through execution

I set the visual direction and worked with junior designers on how to apply it.

Evolve the language.
Keep the recognition.

The sponsorship creative-share deck documents an evolution into Delta’s newer visual identity and motion system.

A decision shaped by the format

The team reviewed the brand motion kit against the long, horizontal proportions of stadium ribbons. Amplify and Explore were selected for those surfaces.

Amplify

Fresh motion. Familiar contrast.

The dark blue base keeps foreground copy readable. Copy entrances, Delta widget transitions, and selected flyovers evolve the earlier banners while retaining a recognizable visual foundation.

Bring the sky into the arena.

Cloud imagery and a reflective, rotating 3D widget connect the treatment to flight. The environment and motion give the brand another expression within the same system.

Selected stills and design rationale from the supplied sponsorship creative-share deck. My role: hands-on sponsorship design and guidance for junior designers.

A landscape.
A clear brand presence.

Coastal imagery carries the composition, with Delta branding designed to read across the outdoor format.

Delta × New York Yankees / Plaque design

A milestone.
Made tangible.

I designed the Gate 42 commemorative plaque presented to Mariano Rivera, celebrating his historic 2019 election as baseball’s first unanimous Hall of Famer.

The physical piece brings the gate number, Rivera’s signature, and Yankees identity into one commemorative design.

Two partnerships.
Two distinct systems.

A whole place,
working together.

The LA Live study brings the supplied motion files into an actual panoramic photograph of the venue.

NWSL / View the supplied multi-format motion layout

I designed and animated the NWSL sequence. This 30-second source layout shows the many LED formats together; it is shown here as a production detail rather than a venue installation.
